Aterian PLC - New Copper Targets Defined at Agdz East, Morocco
Summary
Aterian has made real progress at its Agdz copper-silver project in Morocco, with an independent interpretation of new high-resolution ground magnetic data identifying multiple priority exploration targets across the site. This work has significantly sharpened our understanding of the geological structures likely controlling copper-silver mineralisation, moving us well beyond early-stage anomaly hunting into a genuinely targeted exploration phase.
A few things stand out from this update. The survey area has been expanded by roughly 140 percent, giving us a much larger canvas to work with. The interpretation has identified several kilometre-scale fault corridors that we believe are strong candidates for hosting mineralisation, and importantly, the structural patterns we're seeing closely resemble those at the nearby Bou Skour deposit, a well-established 53 million tonne copper-silver mine. That similarity gives us real confidence in the exploration model we're pursuing at Agdz.
Historic rock sampling at the project has already returned grades as high as 3.47 percent copper and 136 g/t silver, which supports the geological story emerging from this latest work. We're now integrating this magnetic data with hyperspectral imagery, historical exploration records and Lithosquare's AI-enabled targeting technology to refine our drill targets as efficiently as possible. Trenching is already underway on the ground, with results expected before the end of the third quarter.
Agdz is shaping up to be an increasingly important part of our broader Moroccan copper portfolio, and we see clear near-term catalysts ahead.
