What we do
Critical &
Strategic Metals: Unlocking Africa’s Potential
Aterian plc is listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE:ATN) and is a critical metal focused exploration and development company.
Our target metals are strategically essential to the economy, and any disrupted supply may have a significant impact on the production of critical and/or strategic end products.
Aterian plc acquires and has secured a strong portfolio of critical metal assets, whilst supporting ethical and sustainable supply chains.
We acquired Eastinco Limited, our Rwandan based subsidiary exploration, development, and trading company in 2019. In late 2022, we acquired Aterian Resources Limited, a holding company with a portfolio of prospective battery metal assets, principally copper, in Morocco. In August 2023, we entered into a joint venture earn-in agreement with Rio Tinto Mining and Exploration Limited to explore the lithium potential on the HCK project in Rwanda. We acquired a 90% interest in a private company in Botswana which holds 10 licences exploring for copper and lithium brine in January 2024.
